Johanna Riordan

Like many librarians, I fell in love with libraries as a kid, but it wasn't until the summer after I finished college that I even considered it as a career, despite having worked at Earlham's Lilly Library for three years while an undergrad.  I started working at Haverford back in 2008 as our Acquisitions Assistant while I was still in graduate school.  I was thrilled to move into a new position as Electronic Resources Librarian in 2012.  I now handle all of our subscribed electronic content, from journals to databases to ebook packages, as well as our remaining print serials collection.  In addition to acquiring, paying for, renewing and troubleshooting our resources, I make them easily accessible to our patrons via Tripod and the FindIt! menu.

When not at work, I enjoy knitting an endless supply of socks, growing vegetables at my local community garden, and spectating at women's soccer events from the NWSL to the World Cup.  I also serve on way too many Quaker committees.
